Well, Bob Simon plays Frank at the current run of The Rocky Horror Showat the Beck Center in Lakewood, Ohio. But that's certainly not the extent of his experience with the good Doctor Frank-N-Furter.

I think we could probably start with Bob's bio (taken from the Beck's program):

Originally from Cleveland, Bob started acting at the Beck Center 20 years ago and is thrilled to be returning in a very special role. In '99 he won the L.A. Ovation Award Best Actor in A Musical for Frank-N-Furter at the Tiffany Theatre production of Rocky Horror and was nominated for the '99 LA Weekly Theater Critic's Best Comedy Performance award. In 1993 he starred in the Rocky Horror U.S. and Canadian National Tour and 1996 took him to Europe for a three year tour that included the Rocky Horror 25th Anniversary production. It traveled to 11 countries and included such cities as Rome, Milan, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Helsinki and Stockholm. In 1987 he left Cleveland to pursue acting and has appeared on several television shows including Comedy Central's Comics Only And NBC's Later with Greg Kinnear. Regionally and in LA, he's portrayed Danny in Grease, Lun Tha in King and I, Emcee in Cabaret, and Bill Sikes in Oliver! As a solo vocalist, he has performed the National Anthem at Major League baseball games (including an Indian's game at Municipal Stadium) and Cleveland's Square to Square Celebration ... of course, not in high heels ... On being back at Beck, Bob says "Being on this stage is like coming home" "LUM"

All this aside. Even if the Beck show WAS his first-ever performance as Frank, it would still, in my opinion, qualify him for the Broadway show. His presence is unmatchable, his vocals threaten to blow you straight from your seat, and after witnessing the second show I went to- even though he's been performing in a knee brace the size of a small town- I couldn't help but utter what I would have heretofore thought was Rocky Horror blasphemy-

Tim WHO??!?!?
