MISC: ROCKY RADIOMENTARY

When you get to a certain point of fandom- for anything, really- there is little that you could hear or see that will impress you. I haven't been a fan as long as some have been, though I can claim a nice ten years under my belt in one form or another. And like the most weathered Rocky fans out there, I cringe at the thought of documentaries, painfully awaiting the same regurgitated interviews and film clips.

So I was very pleased to say the least when a tape arrived in the mail from England of the recent Rocky Horror Radiomentary. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the stage show, the BBC made this highly entertaining and informative gem, which featured contributions from Anthony Stewart Head, Tim Curry, Christopher Malcolm, Lou Adler, David Arquette, Sal Piro, Michael White, Meatloaf, and of course- Richard.

The show covered everything from the inception of the play, with some wonderful background on where the ideas came from from both O'Brien and Curry's explanations of the development of Frank's character- to the filming of the movie, the cult that followed and so forth.

It also featured yet another version of Richard doing the Time Warp, but we'll forgive that. :)

So click to get to some RO'B or Curry RealAudio files. Enjoy.
