"I'll tell you what I especially like about alcohol. I like the way it completely shuts down the mental processes while still allowing you to ponitificate on numerous subjects, in a random fashion, all in the same sentence, and in a language that you never even knew you had command of."
Mephistopheles Smith, Disgracefully Yours
"There are so many wonderful ways to achieve the perfect hangover. Mixing your drinks is a fairly safe bet. I suggest you start with a couple of beers, then hit the red wine, then you swap to something with a couple of shots in it - Vodka's cool - and then onto the brandy, with a dash of port in it. Enjoy."
-Richard gives his recipe for a hangover in an On-line interview
Oh, low-land dutch peasants? They knew how to throw a mean street party, oh indeed they did. Lots of very young wine, ruddy faces- codpieces- BURSTING at the seams- some of the younger guys used to get a bit leery . . .
"Oh, what's the matter with you? Judging by my face"
I'd say 'not much, but nice packet'.

"We're going to get the crowd to sing 'Happy Birthday' to Rocky. I think we can manage that, don't you? And then we're going to have a little drinky-poo afterwards."
-Richard explains the plans for RHS's B-Day party.
Well, it was very nice, because I was staying out there for five months, and I was staying in this hotel, which was a rock-and-roll hotel, and all the rock-and-roll acts used to come out and visit there. But I was there for five months. So I used to go down to the bar every night, you know, as one would, about 6 o'clock in the evening, and I used to watch the sun come up in the morning, through my room. My room was a magnet for ne'er do-wells and no-hopers. And the entire population of Sydney, I think, came up to my room, night after night. It was divine, I loved it.
