The Odd Job stars Monty Python's Graham Chapman as Arthur Harris, a man who becomes down and out when his wife leaves him. On the verge of suicide, but unable to do the task himself, he hires a man to kill him when he least expects it. However, a few days later when his wife has decided that she made a mistake and returns to him, Arthur cannot seem to persuade the man that he no longer has any interest in "ending it all".

Going on the advice of his best friend (who is more than a little interested in Arthur's wife) Arthur seeks out protection from a bunch of thugs led by Ramon and his brother, Bernard. Richard plays the leather-decked henchman to the pair, Patch.
