Music and Lyrics by Richard O'Brien
1981
Carte Blanche,
It's like an avalanche
It sort of snowballs
And it sets you free.
Oh, Oh.
Carte Blanche,
It's like an avalanche
It sort of snowballs
And it sets you free.
Oh, Oh.
Carte Blanche,
It's like an avalanche
It sort of snowballs
And it sets you free.
Oh, Oh.
Janet:
So if you're looking for a standard to which you can aspire
Then baby, look at me.
Oh oh, oh.
Look at me.

About the Song: Carte Blanche appeared on the soundtrack to Shock Treatment, but was mostly (with the exception of Janet's verse) heard in the background of a scene. In the original script, the song was to be sung in a much more audible way, in a car. But with the constant revisions and rewrites the script saw before being filmed, the scene was cut and the song was doomed to be in the background. Carte Blanche, by the way is French for "do what you want to"- literally translated "blank document" Appearances: Shock Treatment Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (1981) |
